Aiséirí is an addiction treatment service for adults, young people and their families. Aiséirí, Cahir is a residential addiction treatment centre for adults. Our services include a residential detoxification programme and support for families. We are now recruiting an Operations Manager. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate who will lead a multidisciplinary team and manage the overall running of the service in Cahir. The ideal candidate will be committed to the 12 step model of addiction recovery and share the values and ethos of Aiséirí.

Role: Operations Manager for Aiseiri, Cahir, Co. Tipperary.

Location: Cahir, with occasional travel to other Centres.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From €56,669.32 per year

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee operations and performance of the client journey from pre admissions, detox to primary treatment and into continuum of care. Ensuring that the programme is client focused and in line with best practice guidelines.

Manage and oversee the smooth running of all Centre activities and facilities in a professional and organised manner.

Provide leadership and guidance to the multi-disciplinary team in areas of programme operations and overseeing the holistic treatment provided for clients and their families. Support staff via regular supervision to ensure the completion of performance goals, professional development, group supervision and compliance of ethical standards.

Promoting an environment and culture that is welcoming to all clients and visitors. The position will require some hands on work with clients, whether responding to complaints or assisting with difficult situations.

Work as part of the Aiséirí management team, attending team meetings, reporting to the Head of Clinical Services and reporting on activity within their area of responsibility.

Operate within allocated budget and manage budgets within the context of various funding streams. Develop and maintain good relationships with funders and all referral sources.

Interagency networking and ensuring good communication with external agencies i.e. HSE, Probation and Private Insurance Companies.

Monitor and role model adherence to company and department policies, procedures and practices.

Support and ensure the implementation of accreditation (CHKS) and legislation standards within the area of responsibility.

Role Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum 10 years’ experience working with marginalised people and vulnerable adults in a managerial role. Experience in the area of community development, education / training (advantage but not essential). Experience working in the area of addiction, mental health and recovery.

A working knowledge of the 12 Step Minnesota Model of addiction treatment.

Experience in managing teams and supporting staff in a busy environment.

Experience in managing budgets including operating within budgets, monitoring and overseeing expenditure and innovation in identifying potential new sources of funding.

The candidate must:

Be a strong leader, self-motivated with very strong communication and decision-making skills with the ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Have a work history that demonstrates enthusiasm and excellent communication skills.

Possess conflict resolution skills and can effectively manage challenging circumstances focusing on treating clients with care and compassion.

Be creative and willing to innovate to expand access to treatment and quality of care. They will display integrity and honesty.

Relate to and interact with clients, peers, managers and external stakeholders.

Have excellent IT skills and be comfortable in an IT rich environment.

Qualifications:

Minimum Level 8 BA Honours in Addiction counselling, Social Care, Psychology and / or Management or related fields.
