Business Unit Manager

A Business Unit Manager is required by CareerWise Recruitment to work with a Thurles based Meat Processing Company on a permanent contract. THE ROLE: * Lead and manage the day-to-day running of Business Unit 1. * Work closely with the BU2 manager and Operations manager to achieve key operational KPI's. * Plan and deliver on curing plan for site's weekly targets. * Deliver and communicate production targets within budget and on time. * Managing key internal and external relationships. * Ensure labour is matched to production requirements adjusting where necessary to get cost/kg to budgeted targets. REQUIREMENTS: * Degree or post-graduate qualification in Food sciences or engineering. * Experience in a manufacturing environment, have a structured approach to implementing improvements. * Previous experience in the management of personnel is necessary. * Have a demonstrated track record in the delivery of goals and improvements. * Have experience of working to tight deadlines. * Strong work ethic required with evident enthusiasm for the role.
