Shift Supervisor - Food Production

A Shift Supervisor is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Tipperary based Food Manufacturing client. The role will ensure the effective and efficient running of the production area ensuring all Food Safety standards and operational KPI's are met. THE ROLE: * Full responsibility for the management of the production area ensuring the function is managed correctly and efficiently supplying all lines with the right product required to achieve all customer orders. * Ensuring the production plan is executed in a timely fashion meeting operational efficiencies at all times. * Maintaining accurate stock control and rotation, sense checking all both on the system and physically. * Interfacing with the ERP system administering batches ensuring accuracy at all times. * Drive continuous improvement of Product Quality & Plant Efficiencies on each Individual shift. * Ensure the cleaning schedule is adhered to and actioned meeting the highest cleaning standards at all times. * Ensure the area is audit ready at all times. * Completion of shift handover to incoming Manager using shift report as handover reference. * Ensuring the Area is managed in a controlled fashion that reflects high quality standards. * Foods and that the Area meets all GMP standards all of the times. * Ensure the working area is safe at all times completing walk-abouts each shift observing the working areas and operations ensuring best practice is applied escalating recommendations for improvement. * Champion a positive H&S culture at all times. * Ensure the headcount requirement is met at the start of each shift considering all options available to cover absence / increase in planned demand. * Identifying potential maintenance issues and proactively addressed same with maintenance. * Escalation of all daily maintenance issues communicating seriousness of breakdowns etc. * This role is a 4 cycle shift. REQUIREMENTS: * Qualification In Food Science as well as experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing facility. * Strong and consistent Leader. * Results orientated. * Quality Focused.
