Hartley People are currently recruiting for a LOGISTICS/INVENTORY MANAGER for a well known manufacturing client based in South Tipperary. The core role of the Logistics/Inventory Manager involves managing the warehouse Picking teams team to ensure that finished product is despatched to the Customer in a timely and accurate manner meeting all customer requirements. The Person: Have a third level qualification, Degree preferable, in an applicable field of study. Demonstrable experience in projects and implementation of such. Leadership skills sets must be demonstrated. A minimum of 3 years direct supervisory/management experience in a FMCG company. The Role: Provide leadership to the Warehouse and Inventory teams. Ensure that the Inventory/Despatch teams are working in line with KPIs and that CI programmes are fully implemented. Proactively contribute to on-going efforts to improve warehouse efficiencies. Systematically through lean methodology assess warehouse performance to identify improvement opportunities. Drive Implementation of improvement projects, facilitating and monitoring improvement initiatives to include systems implementation and development. Ensure a strong focus on inventory management, goods receipt, stock rotation, stock location and stock accuracy. Strive to reduce costs and improve efficiencies through a detailed knowledge of the processes and a continuous goal of eliminating waste. Liaise with managers of other departments to ensure customer and business requirements are fulfilled in a uniform manner. Lead the management and development of the production and warehouse teams.
