My Client, one of Europe's leading manufacturers, is in need of a Production Planner to join their growing facility located in Thurles, Co. Tipperary. The Production Planner will be responsible for managing the production schedule and coordinating all of the elements of the plant from raw materials, ingredient and packaging stock, production lines and cycle time, to meet business plans and fulfil customer orders. The Production planner will need to Coordinate work flow between several different departments to align with production schedules to meet customer demands. They will be active in producing, reviewing and distributing production and logistics schedules ensuring successful progress and completed and updates as required. The duties required for this role will be varied and include: - Developing detailed production schedules ensuring each stage of the supply chain process is being optimised. - Preparing forecast date from review of historical sales trends and current trends to ensure an accurate forecast result. Interacting with the sales department to ensure that current and accurate information is being used in the forecast report. - Working in conjunction with several other departments within the facility to prepare weekly production, purchasing and logistics schedules and ensuring that targets are being met. - Manage, coordinate and plan all production materials and services for the organisation, ensuring that supply needs are with in the time schedule, quality needs and that all GMP compliance is being met. - Monitor production plans/Performance weekly and realign the plan as needed to ensure the purchasing strategy fully supports the production targets. Monitoring inventory levels as well to report any deviation from the plan and implementing solutions as needed. - Work closely with the logistics department to ensure accurate execution of all POs, requisitions, Vendor schedules, inventory controls and stock levels to ensure that there are no logistics issues which can affect the production at the facility. - Analysis and reporting of raw material stock with a goal of reducing the overall holdings and costs and which supports best practice inventory performance. Skills required by the desirable receptionist: - Previous experience in a planning and procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. - IIPMM or relevant Supply Chain. Materials Management qualification. - Highly experienced in working with Planning, Logistics & Procurement tools, processes, methods and reporting techniques. Strong numeracy skills with ability for accurate data analysis and reporting are key for this role. - Strong team work experience- the ability to work in conjunction with several departments to meet and exceed targets and bring projects to completion. - Strong IT skills (proficient in the use of ERP Systems. - High level of attention to detail with the ability to multi-task while prioritising tasks to meet deadlines. - ability to work on own initiative with strong problem-solving skills and decision making ability.
