Field Services Engineer. Role Base: Flexible Leinster or Midlands. Covering pharma, precision engineering and life sciences in commercial and academic field. Our client are an established operation with in excess of 1000 customers in Ireland and northern Ireland. They are expanding their field services operations team and are looking to add an additional field services engineer to the team. They have a varied remit in terms of servicing and maintenance of specialised equipment within the pharma, precision engineering and life sciences sectors in both commercial and academic settings. The field engineer will report to and will receive scheduling direction from the senior service engineer on either a weekly or daily basis depending on job duration. All field engineers work to technical standards set by the Technical Director and monitored by the senior service engineer. The duties of a Field Engineer include but are not limited to: Delivering all services for the servicing, validation and certification of laminar air flow cabinets, fume cupboards, safety cabinets, clean rooms and other facilities. Delivering emergency and planned fumigation services to safety cabinets and containment facilities, assisting in carry out fumigation efficacy studies and delivering remedial works. Dealing with customer related documentation, permit to work, attendance records and site reports. Where office generated reports are required, providing the report writer with the necessary site data and preliminary interpretation. Responding to customer equipment breakdowns. Dealing with customers, their estates staff, facility managers, and equipment users at all times presenting an efficient and knowledgeable company profile. Maintaining the required company car, travelling and expense information needed by the Finance Department. Identify other sales opportunities on site for referral to the Commercial Team. Deliver services for Biopharma products and undertake training for same. This, together with local demand spikes may require long travel or staying away from home for more than one night at a time.
