Mechanical Maintenance Technician. Role Type: Permanent. Role Location: Tipperary. I am working with a client in the Tipperary area to secure a mechanical fitter/maintenance technician for a permanent position in a food production environment. This is a day role shift, early and late shift but you will be working no later than 6pm at night Monday to Friday. We are seeking candidates that have the following experience; Experience in pumps, power packs, blower systems and some steel welding would be beneficial. Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, valves, boilers, compressors, and gearboxes, preferably in a food manufacturing industry. Maintenance of food industry equipment; engines, motors, conveyor systems and production equipment. Carry out routine preventive maintenance of plant equipment / machines and facilities. Troubleshoot and repairs all mechanical breakdown of equipment and machines, Completion of reactive repairs ensuring minimal down time. Ability to prioritise reactive tasks in order of urgency and impact to business. Proactive in familiarising themselves with new machinery/equipment. Completion of paperwork including work orders and service reports. Electrical understanding & experience is advantageous.
