What you need to know. You will work as an IT Engineer for our client based in the South East, easily commutable from Waterford City (20 min) and County, and South Tipperary (30 min. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary package. You will report into the Chief Information Officer. Key duties & responsibilities: • Responsible for providing friendly, personable support to 125staff approx. on hardware, software, and network related problems, questions, and use. • Responsibility for the implementation of complex IT projects, deployment of new physical hardware within the site, and overall management of the network infrastructure. • Responsible for overseeing the triage and primary support of all help tickets opened, while attempting to resolve ticket when possible. When not possible, this position will ensure that tickets are assigned correctly, updated, and handled within SLA’s. • Respond to tickets - each ticket must have detailed troubleshooting documentation that explains the problem, work done on the problem and the resolution to the problem. • Assist end users in agreed upon SLA’s to ensure fast and accurate service. • Work with Tier III to resolve technical problems. • Assist with new user/other gear deployment, PC imaging, end user access request to include Active Directory, Five9 contact center, Office 365, etc. • Responsible for oversight of the network, to include network switch port configuration, ISP support and monitoring, and troubleshooting. What are we looking for? • 3-6 years within a similar role is essential. • Third Level IT related degree is also essential. • Ability to work independently. • Self-motivated, upbeat, consultative demeanor, combined with a high energy level. • Deal with all queries and information in a professional and confidential manner. • Ability to learn new technology and put effort into developing new process and procedure to educate others and better the business. • Must be able to independently prioritize assignments and communicate deliverables and timelines. • Flexibility is required to provide out of hours on-call support on a rotational basis. Desirable: • Previous People Management experience. • Telephony or contact center experience. • Meraki Network Equipment experience.
