Our client, an award winning company is actively seeking an Process Engineer/Maintenance to join their successful food manufacturing company in Tipperary.   Responsibilities of the role:   Responsible for developing and implementing preventive maintenance systems. Developing weekly reports accounting for all maintenance related weekly spend. Allocating maintenance spending across machinery and departments. Responsible for controlling maintenance related stock by creating a book in book out standard process. Ensuring stock levels are accurately recorded on systems & ensuring stock levels are organised at all times. Creating a system for recording maintenance works being requested and carried out ensuring the relevant databases are accounting for all maintenance hours worked. Creating a database to link PM with all maintenance spend and stock utilized. Creating a service usage control for the site i.e water, electricity and gas – be able to analyse data to highlight potential future issues. Develop an annual budget for the maintenance department in an agreed format with the financial controller. Establish an approved list of vendors for the maintenance department and agree prices for specific consumables.   The ideal candidate should have:   Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. Strong IT skills e.g. MS Office Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, influence and lead teams. Excellent organisational skills. A strong knowledge of process improvement techniques such as Lean Manufacturing is required. Strong understanding of KPI’s, finance and management principles.   Desired Qualifications: Engineering Degree in mechanical or related discipline. Time served mechanical or electrical apprenticeship with 7+ years experience. Qualification in lean manufacturing.
