An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client, a food manufacturing company, for a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager based in County Tipperary.   Responsibilities of the role will include:   Upkeep and management of purchase order system. Responsible for agreeing on rental contracts i.e fork trucks and other equipment. Working with the financial controller on Preparing yearly company budgets. Sole responsibility for the purchasing and management of ingredients and packaging materials for the company. Including orders, schedules & deliveries in line with service agreed service levels. Responsible for sourcing suppliers to meet the company requirements and needs including ingredients, storage & packaging materials. Management of insurance documentation and monitoring contractual agreements. Participate in and lead annual tender processes with packaging and ingredient suppliers. Participate in spend projects and preparing business cases to present to the company board. Presenting KPI’s on a weekly/monthly basis to Senior Management. Responsible for packaging stock at month end including presentation to Financial controller. Responsible for managing the HR function of the stores and packaging departments including recruitment, inductions, staff training & development, performance monitoring and any required counselling and disciplinary action. Sourcing new suppliers/logistic providers including quality testing &  pricing. Responsible for the daily organisation of finished goods dispatches to UK and ROI customers.  Liaising with customers regarding delivery queries. The ideal candidate. A proven track record in a procurement and supply chain role within the food industry. Will have strong IT and numerical skills. Leadership and interpersonal skills. Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple projects in line with strict deadlines. Strong communication & presentation skills. Degree Qualification ideal but not essential. Good level of commercial awareness with the ability to quickly identify issues & create robust solutions to ensure continuous customer satisfaction. Experience working in a Lean environment would be a benefit.
