Quality Assurance Technologist. Cork City, Co. Cork. €30,000 - €33,000 DOE. Our client is a long-established food manufacturer, supplying branded and private label products to major retailers in Ireland and the UK. They are now looking for a Quality Assurance Technologist to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Technologist, you will be responsible for providing a high level of technical and QA support. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will: - Perform analysis, quality checks and prepare and test samples, as well as accurately recording and analysing results. - Carry out administrative activities to assist with customer support tasks and approved supplier management. - Write and update standard operating procedures, technical documents and QMS paperwork. - Perform document control management. - Support new product development by writing technical reports and carrying out trial work. - Carry out audits and liaise with colleagues to ensure that best practice is adhered to. - Assist with pack copy generation and artwork approval. To be considered, you must have: - At a minimum, two years’ quality experience, gained in a similar laboratory or food technology-based role. - A high level of IT literacy, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. - A third level qualification (or equivalent) in food science or a related discipline. Self-motivated, proactive and reliable, as a Quality Assurance Technologist, you will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. An analytical approach, an excellent eye for detail and strong problem-solving abilities are also key.
