Our client is an established market leading medical device company based in Limerick which has grown internationally by design innovation in consumer healthcare products. They are now looking for a Buyer / Stock Planner to join their team. Within an innovative and team-oriented environment, you’ll have the chance to play an important role in the day-to-day running of the business. As a Buyer / Stock Planner, you’ll plan and implement the procurement of raw materials from global suppliers. In this key role, you’ll build strong working relationships with suppliers, confirm production/shipping schedules and monitor open purchase orders for all orders to ensure that deliveries arrive on time. Specifically, you will: - Oversee new product launches. - Manage the inventory, including product lifecycle management. - Negotiate with suppliers and implement cost-saving initiatives. - Report any product or material availability issues. - Assist the Customer Service, Sales and Product Management Teams with any queries. - Analyse and manage the MRP system. To be considered, you will need: - At least two years’ experience in a procurement role. - Previous project management experience. As a Buyer, you must be highly analytical with great negotiation and communication skills. Organised and methodical, you must also be able to effectively prioritise your workload.
